The Century Seafood Restaurant - Exquisite Asian Fusion in Malate, Manila

Considering the price level, we visited the restaurant on a Saturday lunch during a promo (until Jan 31 2026 according to the staff). We started with our first batch of dimsum and everything was good- pork siu mai and hakao had fresh and generous shrimp and the taro in the spare ribs was a delightful surprise for me. Then we tried some more dimsum: red rice roll and kuchay pancake were both wonderful and the taro puff was not just an eye candy but a filling starter as well. Next are the main carbs: cha misua and yang chao fried rice were on point and were not oily. Then came the star of the meal: their peking duck. Now I understand why some people keep coming back to this restaurant. As for the service, the staff were very attentive: they will fill your cup with tea and ask if you want to change your plate in a very prompt and orderly manner. We would definitely consider revisiting Century Seafood.

Ask any Chinese parent their top 5 favorite Chinese restaurants and you will start to see a pattern. Century will most likely (if not always) be included on their list. Century is also one of their favorite places to hold reception after weddings, birthdays and other special occasions. There are many reasons why this is so and I'll name some here, suckling pig is so good, suahe is fresh, prawn salad is delicious, pancit is legit, bird's nest is authentic, Peking duck is crispy and most of all, the classic favorites are available like sweet and sour pork, steamed lapulapu, beef with broccoli and yang chow. All these plus attentive waiters will really make anyone come back again and again. I say all these because I myself have come here again and again.

Food is great! service is okay and the place is excellent for all occasions. If you crave chinese food, this is one of the best. But it's on the pricey side.

The food here is very well known to the FilChi Community. They hold events for massive amounts of guests, the place is airconditioned and they have ample parking slots across the street.

One of the OG Chinese restaurants for authentic Cantonese cuisine among the tsinoy community. Big fan of asado siopao! The bread is so fluffy and filling is just right. Siomai is really good. This restaurant is probably the best chinese seafood restaurant in Manila. The Peking duck and the roasted suckling pig taste Excellent. The steamed shrimps are so fresh. The service is very good.

High-quality tasty Chinese Hokkien cuisine and DimSum. Round table set up. Suitable for family gatherings and celebrations. We love the pumpkin soup!
